I am so honored to serve the citizens of Elliott County as Property Valuation Administrator. Our office is responsible for assessing all taxable property, both real and personal. My staff and I work together to produce an accurate tax roll. Above all else, it is my goal to see the people of this county treated with fairness, respect, care and honesty. Mary Legg - Chief PVA Deputy
Mary is our Chief Deputy. She began work at the Elliott County PVA office in January of 2021. Her duty is to assess real property,
to maintain land ownership records, which include assisting with deed transfers, and maintaining paper & digital maps. In
addition to collect information on any new construction. She does physical inspections to take digital pictures, measure
new buildings, and obtains characteristics about the property. She works with motor vehicle assessments and tangible personal
property tax returns. She also works with data entry in both real and personal property.
