Pursuant to Code Section 48-5-311 (e)(3)(B):

On July 21, 2021, the Spalding County Board of Tax Assessors exceeded 3% total Value Under Appeal. This serves as notice that the Board of Tax Assessors has an additional 180 days in which to respond to appeals filed for assessment year 2021.

Notice to Property Owners and Occupants

In accordance with Georgia Law (OCGA 48-5-264.1), please be advised that a member of the Spalding County Appraisal Staff may visit your property to review or update property information. The purpose of this visit may be in response to one or more of the following: a return was filed, an appeal was filed, recent improvements or additions were made to the property, a change in zoning, a general review/update of parcel information, exempt property application, conservation use application, or decal inspections.

Please be advised that Field Appraisers will be conducting general reviews of the City of Griffin and throughout Spalding County, as well as all properties under appeal.
