Welcome to the Bryan County Board of Assessors' website.

IN AN EFFORT TO ACCOMMODATE BRYAN COUNTY TAX PAYERS DUE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS ISSUES, DEADLINES AND METHODS OF RECEIVING DOCUMENTATION HAVE BEEN MODIFIED FOR THE 2020 TAX YEAR

***Bryan County has extended the due date on Personal Property Returns & Conservation/FLPA Applications until April 10, 2020. We will accept your 2020 Personal Property Return by e-file; however, you must mail the original with a postmark no later than April 10, 2020 to be considered on time with no penalty. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO FREEPORT EXEMPTION APPLICATIONS! THE DUE DATE FOR FREEPORT APPLICATIONS REMAINS APRIL 1, 2020.

***THE BRYAN COUNTY TAX COMMISSIONERS OFFICE WILL ACCEPT E-MAILED HOMESTEAD APPLICATIONS; HOWEVER, YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.

APPLICATIONS MAY BE EMAILED TO ccoleman@bryan-county.org. THE DUE DATE FOR HOMESTEAD APPS REMAINS APRIL 1ST AT 5:00 PM.

Our board is independent of the County Commissioner's Office, the Tax Commissioner's Office, and the Board of Education. This board does not set tax millage rates nor collect taxes.

We are here to serve the public, ensuring that the tax burden is distributed fairly throughout our county. We are required to value property uniformly, as close to "Fair Market Value" as possible. All the while, making certain that our mass appraisal property valuations conform to Georgia State law.

Should you have any questions concerning our office or its operations, please, do not hesitate to contact us.
