Carter County Property Tax News

Since I was appointed as Carter County PVA on February 1, 2014, we have had our field staff out in the county taking new photographs, making sketches of all the buildings, and checking for new growth in the county. We plan to visit every property in the county at least once in the next 4 years. I am going to try to keep this page updated with an approximate location of the area in which we are working.

From May 2014 through September 2014, we have visited every property in the city limits of Grayson and Olive Hill.

Starting in October 2014 and continuing throughout 2015, we will be visiting the properties in the extreme eastern part of the county (tax maps 106 through 140).

In 2016, our plan is to work the extreme western part of the county (tax maps 001 through 042).

In 2017, our plan is to work the western part of the county, including the Olive Hill city limits and the properties surrounding the city limits (tax maps 043 through 080).

In 2018, our plan is to work the eastern part of the county, including the Grayson city limits and the properties surrounding the city limits (tax maps 081 through 105).

As of January 16, 2015, we are currently working all new growth in the entire county. As we finish up the new Enhanced 911 addresses, we will continue working on maps 106 through 140.
