It is the mission of the Clinton County Assessor's Office to fairly and equitably discover, list, and value all real and tangible personal property for the purpose of creating the annual ad valorem tax roll in accordance with applicable Iowa Statutes. Unlike many states where the Assessor's Office and Taxing Authorities work together, Iowa's Constitution provides a clear separation between the appraisal of property and the Authorities  responsible for setting a Millage Rate to raise revenue.

The Property Assessor's Office operates under the guidelines of the Iowa Department of Revenue, and the Assessor's Office is elected every four years by the citizens of Clinton County. Please feel free to contact the Assessor's Office's office if we may help in any way.

''We are here to serve you'', in an efficient, fair and honest manner.
