Standard Homestead Exemption
The standard homestead exemption available to all homeowners that occupy their home as a residence. April 1 deadline.

Agrictultural (PT-283A)

No out of state checks will be accepted.

This assessment provides for the valuation of agricultural property at current use value rather than fair market value. April 1 Deadline. Please call The Twiggs County Tax Assessors Office for information before submitting application.

Appeal Form (PT-311A)
The State of Georgia provides a uniform appeal form for use by property owners. The property owner must declare their chosen method of appeal. This form is to filed with your County Board of Tax Assessors within 45 days of the date of the notice.

Personal Property
All personal property returns, and applications will only be accepted by US mail. All returns should be filed on or before April 1 of the current year. Returns are considered filed upon receipt; the U.S. Postal Service postmark establishes the date of filing. Postage meter stamps will not be accepted as evidence of timely filing.
