David Fitzgibbon David has been involved in Real Estate and Assessment Administration for over 40 years. Starting as a title search clerk in Memphis Tennessee and working for several Title Insurance Companies in various capacities before moving into the Assessment/Appraisal field. David was most recently Chief Appraiser in Washington DC and was Chief Appraiser for 2 other Georgia Counties prior to going to Washington. He was also an independent consultant and contractor for a number of years performing work in numerous Georgia Counties and several southeastern states. Prior to coming to Georgia in 1990 David was Director of the Property Tax Bureau for the Mississippi State Tax Commission and was instrumental in developing the educational and certification program for Assessors and Collectors. David was Co-Founder and Past President of the Mississippi Chapter of IAAO (International Association of Assessing Officers); currently a state representative of IAAO and a former GAAO board member.
