Board of Assessors This Board of Assessors is a five member board appointed by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. The current members are: E. Gayle Barnett, Chair Brandi Hunter, Vice-Chair Salma H. Ahmed Dillon H. Fries Royce J. Morris. E. Gayle Barnett began her career in the banking industry. She started as an Encoding Specialist at Wachovia Bank of Georgia and climbed the corporate ladder as Collection Specialist, Loan Specialist, Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager and Market Manager. As Market manager, she facilitated specialized  training for branch managers, developed programs to interact  with local communities, consulted with senior management on  branch issues related to staffing and scheduling, formed  strategic alliances with business units by assisting in  forecasting banking needs, and assisted managers in reaching  annual branch deposit, investment, and personal/home equity  loan goals. Prior to retirement from the banking industry, Ms. Barnett went into real estate sales and brokerage. She has been in the real estate field for more than twelve years. She has served as an Associate Broker at Keller Williams Realty; Broker, Office Manager and Property Manager at Brady Barnett Realty Company; and currently is the Owner/Broker of E. Gayle Barnett Realty Company. Ms. Barnett attended Fort Valley State University, Georgia State University, Barney Fletcher School of Real Estate, and Atlanta Technical College. She has an Associate degree in Sociology and is certified as a Georgia Real Estate Broker.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, golfing, and event planning. She attends Shaw Temple AME Zion Church where she is a member of the Board of Stewards and Coordinator of the Wedding Ministry. Brandi Hunter is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team which won two SEC Championships (96’, 97’) and twice adorned Final Four honors (95’, 96’). Ms. Hunter has over 10 years of experience as a realtor servicing clients in the metro Atlanta area. She is a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors’ distinguished, “Multi-Million Dollar Club.” Her designations include Accredited Buyer’s Representative and the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, which are the benchmarks for excellence in buyer’s representation and luxury homes.  She is in the top 5% of production for agents in the highly successful Keller Williams Buckhead office and has created a unique niche by becoming the go-to realtor for NFL and NBA athletes, distinguished professionals, and Atlanta’s high profile entertainers. She has successfully aided clients in the areas of real estate development, tax appeals, investing, residential and commercial sales and property management. Ms. Hunter is a life member of the UGA Alumni Association, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and is an active member of non- profit organizations, Project Karma and Beyond the Game. As a widow, these organizations are dear to her heart, as they provide aide and support to widows, orphans and those families who are living with loss. Her most proud accomplishment is that of her three sons, Jaden, Chase and Dillon, who are very active and talented student-athletes. Her oldest son is one of the top football recruits in the state of Georgia, and her younger two sons are making their own mark, respectively, in football and basketball. They are her inspiration! Salma H. Ahmed has many years of experience in real estate including design development, rezoning, construction, property management and valuation. She has owned and managed over $30 million in property. Ms. Ahmed is currently co-partner of Great Hall Builders, specializing in single- family residential projects in the Roswell area. Most recently, Ms. Ahmed completed concept, permitting, design and construction of a condo hotel project in Amelia Island, Florida. Other Amelia Island projects include Terraces at Beachside, Beachside Commons and Skyy Holdings. Georgia projects include Mill Village, Village Square, Canton Street Walk and Lum Crowe Developments. Ms. Ahmed has been a member of the Roswell East Rotary Group for 7 years and served on its governing board for 3 years. She is a founding member of the Historic Roswell Merchant's Association. Ms. Ahmed has a BS degree in Graphic Design and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati.  Prior to attending the University of Cincinnati, she completed an honors biology program at the University of Michigan. Dillon H. Fries has exclusively engaged in the appraisal of Real Estate since January, 1974. He is presently the owner/president of Dillon H. Fries & Associates, Real Estate Appraisers and Consultants, an appraisal firm located in Roswell, Georgia, established in March, 1981. Mr. Fries has specialized in residential real estate appraising in the Metro Atlanta area since 1974 with an emphasis on relocation appraisals and destination services, appraisals for divorce proceedings, estates, REO's, mortgage loans and for list price or offer price determination. Mr. Fries' designations consist of the following: Employee Relocation Council's, Certified Relocation Professional, CRP since 1990, National Association of Review Appraisers & Mortgage Underwriters; Certified Review Appraiser, CRA; Approved FHA (HUD Roster Listed) Appraiser. Mr. Fries received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University in 1975 with a major in Real Estate and a minor in Finance. RJ Morris,, very much desires to hear from all taxpayers concerning County assessments as he is a dedicated Homeowner Advocate.  However Morris also says, "Everyone benefits from an educated society and everyone likes to drive on roads without potholes, therefore we must work hard to make sure those vital needs are funded while striking a delicate balance with our taxpayers' ability to fund them."  Morris began his Real Estate career in the legal field, eventually moving to the investment side.  This led him to work with the Georgia State Legislature resulting in the passage of bills benefiting all property owners concerning the State of Georgia Property Tax Code.  Mr. Morris is also a firm believer citizens should volunteer to help their government and their community.  He has been on many neighborhood associations, to include being a founding member of the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood business association.  One of his proudest achievements though was the new Freedom Barkway Dog Park, as he and his wife Melissa are both animal lovers living in the Old Fourth Ward with their "kids", Champ and Chili Morris, rescues from the Fulton County Animal Shelter.   Mr. Morris encourages all Fulton Citizens to visit the Fulton County Animal Shelter due to the high number of rescue animals in need of a loving home, go to For more information regarding the Board of Assessors, contact S.
